The Secureye SMP-S-SMSF-GE Gigabit Fiber Media Converter provides a reliable solution for extending Ethernet networks over long-distance single-mode fiber. The T+R pair includes two converters, allowing Ethernet equipment to be connected across distances of up to 20 km using single-mode fiber.

With 1 × RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port supporting 10/100/1000Mbps and an SC single-mode fiber interface, it is suitable for extending network connectivity beyond the normal limitations of copper Ethernet cabling. Its plug-and-play design requires no complicated software configuration, while LED indicators provide convenient power and link/activity status monitoring.

Ideal Applications: CCTV surveillance networks, building-to-building connectivity, campus networks, ISP/access networks, industrial Ethernet and long-distance LAN extensions.
